Research in our group concentrates on the problem of automated image understanding. We combine methods from Machine Learning, Computer Graphics and Computer Vision to implement Analysis-by-Synthesis Systems for an automated image perception.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Konstanz, working together with the Bioinformatics and Information Mining group headed by Michael Berthold. Before joining the University of Konstanz, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, working together with Gunnar Rätsch. In 2012, I received my PhD from the University of Basel.
